Senior Football Semi-Final

17-January-24
MCS 2-12 Hackettstown 0-12
On Thursday our senior footballers defeated Hacketstown to qualify for the South Leinster football final. Played in Clonmore GAA club MCS started well with Corey Holohan Lalor hitting 1-1(after missing two sitters) in the first 10 minutes. Two points from Oisin and Niall Lawlor and a free from Adam Hunt meant MCS lead 1-8 to 0-6 at half time. Hackettstown came out and with the aid of the breeze began to reel MCS in. But points from Rory Lalor and MOTM Adam Hunt kept them just in front. With the game coming down to the wire Hackettstown needed a goal but sub Oisin Hade made a great run down the right hand side of the pitch and finished a powerful shot to the bottom corner to finish the game.
